The Cabbage Soup Diet allows the individual to eat a lot of cabbage soup and drink unlimited water. This allows a loss of weight of up to 10 pounds in seven days. The diet regimen allows eating cabbage soup plus a fruit, except for bananas for the first day.
Then black coffee, unsweetened tea, water and cranberry juice are the beverages allowed for drinking. On the second day, cabbage soup is eaten along with boiled, raw or steamed vegetables. Peas, corn or dry beans are not allowed. Baked potato with butter is permitted for dinner. On the third day, cabbage soup is eaten together with other vegetables and fruit. For day 4, cabbage soup plus eight bananas and skim milk is eaten. On the 5th day, the soup is eaten plus 450 grams of fish or meat, and six tomatoes. Day 6 allows intake of the soup, vegetables and meat. And on the final day; consumption of the cabbage soup, 100% fruit juice, brown rice and vegetables are allowed.
